I saw this man on the Metro this past Monday, and asked him who the flowers were for. They were for his wife. They’ve been married for 47 years. Every Monday, he brings her home flowers after work. My heart died at that moment.

This reminds me of whenever I took trips to the cemetery to visit my grandparents, EVERY single time there was this old man who’s always there when I came, visiting his dead wife. He told he comes every day to visit her. Couple years ago, I stopped seeing him. I look at his wife’s plaque/ tomb thing and see his name right next to hers. True love right there.
