A short story from USF
So USF does this thing where AFTER you sign up for classes they have you speak with an adviser for the department which your major is in to talk about the classes you chose and stuff about your major. I was accepted for Nursing, but switched out to Economics. My phone call went like this…
*ring* *ring* *ring*
(I hurried to wake up and pick up the phone)
Me: Hello?
Dr. Hanson: Hi! This is Dr. Nancy Hanson calling from the Nursing department at USF, can I speak with Russell Banzon please?
Me: Hi, this is him!
(We’re both very excited to talk to each other it sounds)
Dr. Hanson: Hey! How’s it goin’ for you?
Me: I’m doing great! And how about—
(I get cut off and disconnected. After a few times of trying to call her back and getting her voicemail. She doesn’t try to call back. I try one last time to call her…)
(Sounding very disinterested, she picks up the phone)
Dr. Hanson: Dr. Hanson.
Me: Hi, Dr. Hanson, sorry, but I believe we were disconnected a couple minutes ago?
(I’m still sounding pretty excited to talk to her)
Dr. Hanson: Yeah, hey how’s it goin’?
Me: Good! For yourself?
Dr. Hanson: Good, thanks. So… yeah… I just read here that you unfortunately changed your major from nursing to economics… Just disregard this call.
Me: Oh… okay… Do you know if someone from the Economics department will be contacting me?
Dr. Hanson: Yeah… I don’t know.
Me: Oh, okay. Thanks for your help then!
*she hangs up before we say bye*
Sigh, I don’t think she was even going to call back in the first place. Thanks for your help though =__=. Now I need to find someone from the Economics place to review my schedule. Cause Dr. Hanson apparently can’t help with that. Sigh!
